For entry/exit chest wounds. Used in external open pneumothorax to prevent air from entering the wound (sealing penetrating chest wounds).
Characteristics
They consist of a gel base (two-component silicone adhesive-gel).
Dimensions of occlusive dressings: 16 cm x 14 cm.
The set includes: 1 ventilated occlusive dressing with a valve and 1 non-ventilated occlusive dressing without a valve.
The ventilated dressing allows air to escape from the wound and does not allow air to enter. Valve openings minimize internal obstruction from blood clots or soft tissue. Regardless of whether the patient is being transported or wearing a heavy body armor, the valve continues to release air.
The non-ventilated dressing is suitable for applying compresses to the wound and protects it from friction and contamination. It is used for application to the chest wound, covering the skin around it. Suction occurs when a person inhales. The bandages are firmly fixed even on contaminated skin covered with dense hair. After that, the wound becomes inaccessible to blows, touches, friction, and germs.
The transparent material of the bandages guarantees full visual control of the wound area during application. Thanks to the protective functions of the dressings, the wound area is provided with a favorable microclimate, which retains moisture and the required temperature. They retain their adhesion at extreme temperatures, having a reliable fixation in hot or cold weather.
Shelf life: 5 years from date of manufacture.
