Description
It is intended for emergency treatment of respiratory distress for prolonged nasotracheal incubation of the trachea to ensure airway patency in patients with obstruction of normal anatomic airways. An emergency airway device that is inserted through the nasal passage into the trachea of semi-conscious or unconscious victims, allowing air to enter the airway.
A nasopharyngeal tube is a flexible instrument made of special soft siliconized rubber with a cut on one side to facilitate insertion into the nasal cavity. The other side has a stop ring to prevent the tube from slipping into the patient’s trachea. The curved shape follows the anatomical shape of the airway.
It is also supplied with lubricant to ensure easy insertion into the nasal cavity. The product is sterile and has a compact, vacuum-protected, moisture-resistant sheath. The package has starter notches for easy opening.
Shelf life is 5 years from date of manufacture.
The tubes are for single use only.
